After filming all day, enjoying a fresh walleye shorelunch and than getting a good down-pour, we still decided to head out for about one hour to fish after dinner and before dark. We decided to go to the same shoal that we filmed enough trophy walleye footage to produce two TV shows and sure-enough, the walleye were there and active. My wife Barb started off by catching a chunky 19″, and I finished with a nice 27″ walleye. In-between those fish we landed several smallmouth bass and eating size walleye. To top things off, we also witnessed a dynamic sunset.
If you love to catch walleye, I would really encourage you to check-out www.redpinelodge.com , on Lady Evelyn Lake, ON. It’s a short 2 hr. drive north-east of North Bay and offers excellent action for walleye, pike, smallmouth bass and back-lake fishing for pike, rainbow & brook trout, as well as smallmouth bass.

Hi Edson….Thank you for your kind words. As you probably know we just returned from Red Pine Lodge on Lady Evelyn on Tues., and we had excellent fishing catching all the walleye we wanted, up to 28″, every day! We caught all our walleye fishing 1/8 jigheads tipped with 1/2 dew-worm right on the bottom in water ranging from 19-30′ deep. We fished mostlly reefs and shoals, but to be honest with you I don’t know the names of them and it would be very difficult for me to try and explain how to get there. I can tell you that we had the best action at the west-end of the lake (where it’s wide). We also used 10 lb. test Rapala Taitanium Braid line (4 lb. monofilament diameter), which definitely made a big differance in feeling the bottom and detecting walleye pick-ups. Hope you catch lot’s of fish. Let me know how you do….God bless you, Italo

Hi Italo , just one more question , did you use a flourocarbon leader or just braid tied to the jighead ? thanks

Hi Edson…I did have a 12 lb. test fluorocarbon leader on, but it was not necessary….God bless you, Italo
